About Book Sake Accounting

My Name Is Naomi Brady and I am the owner and founder of Book Sake Accounting. I started this journey as a bookkeeper working for local accounting practices in beautiful North Wales where I lived at the time. After attaining my First Class Honours Degree in Accounting & Finance at Bangor University and a period working in accountancy to gain experience, I felt I could do better so started the company in 1999 in the United Kingdom.

Many years later I wanted to change my life and decided Spain was the place to do so. Being nowhere near retirement age I made plans to take the business with me. So a period of ‘retraining’ began to adjust to the Spanish system. It is very similar to the UK so was a straightforward transition. I work from home in a purpose-built office around 35km from Valencia. I work alone and am therefore responsible for all aspects of the business. If you contract your work to me, you will liaise with me only. When taking on a new client, I prefer to have an initial video call so we can ‘meet’ each other and have a more personable experience. I use Messenger, WhatsApp, Zoom and Teams.

Why Book Sake Accounting?

I find myself in a fairly unique position in Spain that there is not a great deal of competition. I can therefore offer clients my services both in Spain and the UK. I have a thorough understanding and vast experience of both countries taxation systems and accounting practices. I am a native English speaker which also enables me to represent clients from all over the world here is Spain.

The other important thing to consider when seeking assistance with your taxes is communication. I operate my business as if it were located in the UK with customer service being key. If you telephone, message or email I will reply. If I’m on a call or in a meeting it may take a short while for me to return the call but will always be the same day. One of the biggest complaints new clients talk about is ‘I could never get hold of the old company and they never returned my calls’! I am conscientious, you are entrusting your financial responsibilities to me. I will always act on your behalf to minimise your tax liabilities, ensure all filings are completed on time and will not file anything without your approval. You are in control. Security of your data and confidentiality are my core principals.
